Sexual Skills for the Superior Lover
Article by Kasia Xavier
David Deida is a forerunner in the field of sexual dynamics. Rather than presenting dry, clinical accounts of the nuances of sexual relationships, his writings are edgy, provocative and juicy – much like his subject matter.
Personally, I don’t feel like I can trust anyone who writes about sex with excessive detachment and distance. It’s similar to me not wanting to train with a trainer who isn’t in fantastic physical shape.
The Enlightened Sex Manual is a theoretical and how-to guide for advanced sexual practices. Deida works over many Taoist sexual techniques and sums them up in very digestible and fun language in this comprehensive guide.
In ‘Understand Three Types of Women’s Orgasms’ he talks about the inferiority of clitoral orgasms when compared to the heart soul fuck sweat opening of vaginal or to go even deeper, cervical orgasms – an idea I very much agree with and will touch on in future articles.
‘Bypass Ejaculation for Greater Pleasure’ discusses issues of retention, conscious ejaculation control and gives basic techniques to try.
One of my favorite chapters is 'Make Love for at Least 45 Minutes', where he explores the intricacies of the marathon fuck:
For mediocre lovers, it is easier to spurt and shimmy away sexual energy than it is to open their internal knots, which would allow their energy to circulate in a much more profound and blissful depth. Loosening… knots releases the fear stored within them. Mediocre lovers are afraid of letting go… Beyond sheer enjoyment, sexual occasions of 45 minutes or more are often necessary for opening the body and heart to the fullest potential of human love and intimate communion.

He’s also an ass fucker at heart (like me). In ‘Stimulate the Anus’ he espouses the great emotional benefits of anal sex for unwinding tension and learning to open and trust.
Deida’s whole view on sex is that it’s a portal to greater depths within ourselves, our partners and to the world at large. If we consciously use it.
