Sculpture is usually best experienced in person.  I once made a trek to Paris to see Rodin's Iris, Messenger of the Gods (1890).  I'd seen photographs, and I'd seen copies in other museums, but this was worth the pilgrimage to his former home, now the Musée Rodin, to see the piece firsthand. I appreciate beauty in art, but it's audacity that earns my respect. - CV
